Mason Ford has over three decades of investment experience. He is passionate about the financial markets, and is focused on tangible results for clients. 

Mason grew up in Miami, Florida. He studied economics at Harvard University, and earned an MBA at the Stanford Business School. He has worked at Salomon Brothers in New York City as a financial analyst in the Equity Capital Markets group as well as a research analyst and portfolio manager at WHV, a San Francisco-based investment counselor 

Mason is perpetually curious. His favorite quote is from Einstein: “The important thing is not to stop questioning.” An avid sports fan, he understands the importance of teamwork both within Cornerstone and in client relationships. Having lived all over the country and worked at firms large and small, he has learned the value of a broad perspective. 

When not working, Mason can be found playing pickup basketball, tackling a daily Wordle or playing tennis with his wife and two daughters.

    • Earned his BA in Economics at Harvard University where he graduated magna cum laude.

    • Worked at Salomon Brothers in New York City as a financial analyst in the equity capital markets group.

    • Earned an MBA at the Stanford Business School.  

    • Was a research analyst and portfolio manager at WHV, a San Francisco-based investment counselor.

    • Joined Cornerstone Capital in 2001 where he’s been a partner for over 20 years.
